Hello world! It's been a while. Quite a while, in fact. But never fear, I have returned to spew forth vapid ramblings etc., chiz chiz.
Now, I figure (perhaps inspired by the lyric 'destruction of the empty spaces is my one and only crime', or perhaps merely because I have been forgetting to post about it for many months) that it's about time I made some mention of the fact that I appear to have bought a house. Now, naturally some of you already know this -- some have even visited! -- and in fact it's now over a year since everything went through and I collected the keys. Moving-in day was a couple of months later, mind you, once the furniture had arrived and all that jazz. But anyway, better late than never, I suppose; for the terminally curious amongst you, some photographs are hiding away
in the gallery.
Being a new-build, I don't have much by way of exciting tales of DIY adventures, nor frustrating woes to relate regarding the whole "I give you money, you give me house" part of things. Although there was a slightly tense part of the afternoon when my solicitors hadn't received the ol' dosh from the mortgage lender and we were sitting around waiting for the call to release the keys, but that only lasted long enough to enjoy a cup of coffee in the sales office. Wow, that's one to remember...
Filling it up with shiny things that are mostly made of glass has been good fun though. The most recent household acquisition -- a barbecue and some garden furniture -- is unfortunately waiting for a suitably nice day to try it out properly. Shall have to keep an eye on the weather forecast.
Anyway, like I said, figured it was probably about time I broke radio silence; stay tuned for further (eventual) excitement, including "I have silly electronic ambitions" and "I bought more cameras"!
