1. I'm starting to suspect that the producers hired
Robert Jordan as a writer, given that some episodes do nothing to explain existing plot strings while introducing new subplots. It seems like the writers are slowly getting over the Jordanesque plot plodding as the season ends. Hopefully it won't be as prevalent next season. I enjoyed Season 2, but think they could have moved things along a bit more.
2. Please, please tell me that I misheard the name of the Other woman who interrogated Michael. I heard "Miss Clue."
Television Without Pity spells it "Miss Klugh," but still, the fact that it sounds like "Clue" is just plain cheesy.
3. I'm trying to figure out what Jack, Sawyer, Kate, and Hurley all have in common. At first I thought it was that they've all hallucinated something on the island. (Jack's dad, a boar, a horse, and Dave). But then
tincow reminded me that Charlie hallicunated about baby Aaron. The only other thing I could think of is that they're all "bad," but what's Hurley done?
4. I'm kind of sad that Eko is taking up residence in the hatch to be the button-pusher. Hopefully, Locke succeeds in smashing the button computer in the next ep. In the preview for next week, we only get a glimpse of him taking a sledgehammer to the computer and Eko trying to stop him.
5. The only person on that island that I would trust with the guns is Sayid. He's also the first person I would go to if I wanted to run off into the jungle and shoot some Others. I'm happy he's figured out that Michael is batshit insane. Hopefully, he will follow Michael's group with a gun or two and save them from the trap they're obviously walking into. I'd like to see Sayid kick some ass.
6. Clearly, the Others are faking their settlement, they don't live that way. But, is the hatch that they're guarding fake? Their hatch with the rectangle logo wasn't on Locke's map.
7. After seeing Michael vomit, I wonder if the Others gave him the cure to the "sickness". The map in the hatch room said "the cure makes you sick." Aaron got the cure in utero and he got sick a while later. Or maybe Michael just feels really guilty for murdering two people.
8. I wonder if the boat is a way for them to introduce more redshirts new characters. I'm hoping the boat's empty, or perhaps contains something freaky.
9. Hopefully Claire isn't dumb enough to inject herself and Aaron with an unknown Dharma drug. *shudder*
10. "I screwed her." I love Sawyer.
11. I watched part of the preview in slomo (yay Tivo!) and saw that Desmond is in next week's ep. That should be interesting. Maybe he was on the boat.
