First meal in the new home!

Well... the first meal using my new stove! When we bought the house, it had an electric stove. Our real estate agent recommended a plumber, and he is fabulous! We have gas coming into the house, and he ran a gas line up to our kitchen. Since there was already a plug up there, I bought a dual fuel stove. The range is gas, with five burners (including a simmer burner and a double ring power burner). The oven is electric. So, I get the best of both worlds! I loves it, I loves it so much!

Our first meal using the new stove was one I've posted about before, five spice rubbed pork tenderloin with hoisin sauce. This time, I served it with steamed green beans in a dressing made with sesame oil, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and topped the pork with some pomegranate seeds. I liked it better with the beans, instead of the baby artichokes.

I was so happy to finally be able to cook again, I felt like a slug after a week of living off Chinese delivery and Baja Fresh.
