I really like the rotation of the image and the colouring suits it well.

nr. 1 - Love the green coloring

number 2 thats just amazing :D
2 - The angle isn't terribly attractive, but the use of colour balances out the intensity of the scene to keep it from being cloying. The brush on top, though it would work better with a straighter angle, is nice and works well with the rest of the icon. The icon doesn't need text, but what you've chosen is understated enough to not detract from the icon.
