In memory of family and friends who have lost the battle with cancer; and in support of the ones who continue to conquer it! Post this on your LJ if you know someone who has or had cancer.
It's kind of scary how many people I know who have gone through cancer, such a horrible disease. My dad had prostate cancer, his brother died of a brain tumor, and his mother died of lung cancer. My mom's dad died of cancer, as did my grandpa's parents. A beloved family friend named Lorraine died of breast cancer too. She was like the aunt I never really had, I loved her a lot. And last but not least, another good family friend survived breast cancer a well. And those are just those who were closest to me. Here's hoping they find a cure someday soon. My prayers go out to those who continue to fight it and their loved ones, and those who lost the battle will always have a place in the hearts of people who loved them.
