We visited Schonbrunn Palace today. Beautiful! We even bought a book on Fraz Joseph. Can't wait to read it! Anyway, we toured 28 rooms and I snuck some pictures (only 2, photography wasn't allowed) and then we realized Coco wasn't with us. She had just disappeared. We figured she may have been too slow, and fallen behind, so we sent Mom back through to find her. She came back by herself. :( Then I got sent back. No sign of Coco... So we went on without her ;) (I mean, what else was there to do...?)We finished the tour of 40 rooms and still nothing. We searched for at least two hours, allerting all the palace employees (not an easy task, mind you...)plus several American tourists to keep an eye out for her. She had a video camera with her. Mom and her friend told me I knew her best, so they asked me where she'd be, what she'd be doing. I told them she'd probably wait, then try to figure out a way home. Mom said nah, she'd probably be filming outside on the palace grounds somewhere. (completely off!) I found out recently, on this trip, that she knows very little about us. Surprisingly little, actually. Basic questions about personality, behavior...etc she got completely wrong. But anyway, I digress...Ummm...We eventually DID find her (thank goodness) at home, where I said she'd be. Not only did she make it back ok, she ALSO MANAGED TO FIND A RICH AMERICAN BOY TO BUY HER LUNCH!!!!! because she was hungry. She didn't tell him that, he just offered to get her lunch. So smooth of her to use him like that. At the end of her "Emergency Date" he asked if he'd see her again, and she just simply replied 'no' and said goodbye. TERRIBLE of her! She then travelled through Vienna on her own, without a subway ticket (risked getting caught and find a humongous fine) and somehow found her way through Vienna and the two different subway sistems you have to switch trains through, and then walked to the appartment.
Mom and I litterally couldn't find it WITH a map...together...
we're pathetic...
I have to say, tho, I did panic. I was beginning to panic right around 4pm. I'm glad she's home.
Night.
