Also, did anyone ever figure out what was with Jared being in Maui with Sandy THIS year? Those tabloidy pictures came out and people were saying they were from '07, but they're not wearing bracelets or rings and Jared is wearing a hat he started wearing in '08 as far as I know, and they LOOK OLDER THAN IN '07 TO ME, and I don't know. Wasn't Jared filming in August this year? IT IS ALL SO CONFUSING. I wish I didn't care. Sigh. BUT I DO.
Vaguely relatedly, dark_reaction is a genius. I'm sure I've said it before, but I prompted her for Sam/Dean hurt-comfort, for which she wrote The Paint That Hides The Crime. It is BREATHTAKING. Seriously. I will never understand how she pulls and twists Sam and Dean into AUs like this, making everything sharp and dark and detailed, but still manages to keep them so fundamentally THEM. Maybe even MORE real, if that is possible. She has a way with words that is completely unique, and this fic just totally blew me away. I can't wait for more. <333!
ETA: mickeym wrote me the HOTTEST SAM/DEAN EVER, Learning By Example. Oh. My god. It's very, very much watersports, so steer clear if that's not your thing. But is so ridiculously hot and yet so moving and filled with so much love and trust and need and sdoinggesoinodng EVERYTHING, that you might enjoy it even if you don't generally like that particular kink. So deliciously amazing. *_*! HOW DID I GET SO LUCKY.
In other news, I watched Shelter the other day, and just about DIED OF JOY. I was honestly expecting it to be kind of a let-down after all the hype on my flist about it, but it WAS SO, SO NOT. IT WAS GLORIOUS. I mean, it wasn't exactly world-shatteringly different, as far as gay movies go, but it was gorgeous and I would rewatch it eighteen jillion times. It made me so happy and full of sodihnsoeihs tingly love. :D!
I ALSO watched Irma La Douce, which is like a hilarious hookerfic made into movie form. LOVED IT. Even if it did sink into surrealism a little too heavily there at the end. HAPPY HOOKER AND HER JEALOUS POLICEMAN JOHN. Gotta love it. Also, green stockings + young hot Shirley MacLaine + a zipper-front dress = YES PLEASE.
Project Runway this week was boooooring. I do want to make a post about America's Next Top Model, but there probably aren't enough people watching it to bother. I am excited about this season, though. :D!
ALSO I BOUGHT A NEW DRESS! I found a GAP gift card in my wallet that is like. Over 4 years old. I never thought they had fatgirl clothes there, but APPARENTLY THEY DO NOW, and my card was still good, so I bought an adorable heather grey sashed dress. I have worn the hell out of it already and it only just came on Wednesday or something.
My illness is slowly but surely getting better, and I STILL don't know what it was/is. I have another doctor's appointment this coming week, so hopefully they will be able to tell me SOMETHING. I do not want this to happen again!
