It is! It brings a smile to my face every time I see it. :D And I love the practicality of it - for the painter is a local Norwegian, and Norway during winter is cold - so the painter is really just being practical, but in such a lovely, heart warming (and hand-warming!) way.

I am slowly visiting your posts with art and visuals - these are fabulous! I love that there was thought put into the shepherds' outfits, and that the mittens are striped. They are colour-coordinated. Hee.

OOo! I had not noticed the colour coordination - but that is so great! I have mainly just focused in the fact that they have mittens. ;)

And thank you for the nice compliments. :)

And Strippy mittens to boot. The best kind. Though they don't have those little strings to pin them to thiier sleeves. Their Moms will be so mad when they loose one.

"But Mom, there were ANGELS."

"I can't BELEIVE you're trying that lame excuse. Up to your room. NOW."

LOL!

Those poor shepherds! ;D

And stripey mittens are indeed the best kind, along side long, stripey scarfs.

Awww! They're adorable. Is the fellow in front mopping his brow or pushing his hat back? He looks as if he's saying: 'Phew! I'll be glad when this is all over'.

*g* I just love them, so I'm so glad you like them! This post is after all in a way inspired by your desire to see the paintings. So Yay!

And yes, the shepherds seem to lack a bit of enthusiasm about the whole affair. ;D
