The Norwegian Black Metal scene has always been one of small and large scandals, but I've never heard of something like this before. Apparently Harald Nævdal, of the band Immortal, has been receiving threatening letters and now somebody has kidnapped his cat! His cat!? Surely that is a new low

I know! The day after the local newspaper ran this story, the cat returned - but with serious injuries that had been inflicted on it. Some people are just sick.

Sadly it gets worse, as the cat has been returned - but with serious injuries. What kind of sick person would kidnap and the hurt a kittie?

Very uncool. The cat was returned yesterday, but with serious injuries - and it looks like someone hurt the cat on purpose. I hope they catch the person responsible, because that is just sick.

I wasn't sure what Black Metal was, and it's apparently "an extreme subgenre of heavy metal."

So, first, the fact that the guy has a cat is awesome.

Hee. That was pretty much my first reaction as well.;)

But on to the more serious aspects of the case - the cat has been returned, but with serious injuries. That appears to have been inflicted upon it. In cases like this I kind of agree with my old grandma, that some people deserve a good thrashing.
