I am currently reading King's Dark Tower series. To be more specific, I'm reading "The Drawing of the Three." Recently, I read an old interview with King in which he spoke about the series. King explains the Dark Tower as something that each one of us holds in our heart. We are not sure what it is, we just know that quest to find it is self-destructive. We may never fully understand the Tower until we destroy it or make it our own. This Tower's meaning is different for everybody.

After thinking, I have no idea what my Dark Tower could possibly be. Perhaps, as King says, I'm not supposed to know what it is until I find it. Will I eventually find my Dark Tower? Maybe. Will I die before that time comes? Maybe. I guess some of us aren't supposed to find our Dark Tower. After all, I am a firm believer that the ending is not nearly as important as the journey to get there.

XXXIV
There they stood, ranged along the hillsides, met
To view the last of me, a living frame
For one more picture! In a sheet of flame
I saw them and I knew them all. And yet
Dauntless the slug-horn to my lips I set,
And blew. 'Childe Roland to the Dark Tower came.'
-Robert Browning, 1855
