10th Anniversary of Viva

Slaone Warren and I were reminsicing this week, about our first (and I think ONLY? - shame on us!) show together.

Not everyone I'm friends with now was around 10 years ago, when I had my first crazy scheme -

Viva Los Alamos - A Theatrical Parody Purporting To Be A Previously Unreleased Film Starring The Late King Of Rock And Roll Not Licensed By Or In Any Way Affiliated With His Estate - in 3-D. That link is to the soundtrack. I've also posted a few pics on facebook.

I've loved the people I've worked with over the years and am very proud of the work that I've done, but this one....the absolute perfection given by every single person, both in the original and the New York productions, was absolutely astounding and I'll even go so far as to say has been rarely seen in this town since, many of my efforts included. Listen to the Harmony on the last note of the Lab Song and tell me you've heard that in a stage musical in Atlanta. Pete Hauenstein, the world has plenty of lawyers, but damn few people that can get a performance like that out of people who claim not to sing,
