7th Sea 2nd Edition just funded with $1,316,813. I can say that the dice rolling mechanic it has switched to does not impress me much, but the setting material was the main attraction for me in this case.
The Sentinels of the Multiverse OblivAeon expansion funded a couple of days ago with $1,518,321. That game has been very, very good to us. Supers, cooperative, and with enough variety in the combinations of Heroes, Villains and Environments to keep us playing it again and again.
I think modern RPG styles have been too generous to the players. We got into a real dungeon crawling situation on Saturday and none of the other players have been playing long enough to know how to dungeon crawl and survive. We left off in the middle of a battle where my character (Half-Orc bard) and the Drow fighter were possessed by ghosts and the rest of the party just isn't prepared to stop us. It could TPK quickly. I'm thinking of playing a Monk or Druid if I need a new character.
By the by, did you hear about the courier service that only employed Dragonborn? It was called Scale Mail.
friends,
