The Augusta Lynx folded tonight. They've suspended operations and voluntarily relinquished their membership in the ECHL. I hadn't had a chance to see them play this season, but had plans to do so later this month.
For the first time in a long time, I am living in a place with no conveniently local professional hockey team to watch. If I were tallying up the pros and cons of living here, that would be one pro that just got erased, and a con that got added.
