Another Coach (or two)
Last night we (Joe, Evan and I) were at Kingmaker Games playing Blood Bowl. August and Jen were there too, but not playing. Next week, we'll be starting up a league there. This week and last week, we just played one-off games to drum up interest and teach new guys (like Evan) the game. Last night, the newb I was teaching decided to join up. He also made Mike (the store owner) very happy by deciding to order a full lineup for a Dark Elf team, including one of each of the star players available for that team.
Right now, it looks like we'll have these teams:
1 Ogre (me)
1 Skaven (Joe)
1 Chaos (Evan)
1 Dark Elf (Chris)
1 Goblin (can't remember this fellow's name)
1 Wood Elf (Mike)
and possibly a couple of other players as well when we start. We'll be open to other teams joining during the season.
We'll be playing for a minor trophy that we'll call the Kingmaker Trophy. Its prize will be 60,000 gp to the winner and 30,000 gp to the runner-up. The winner also gets one extra MVP, which goes to any player of his choice. Since we live in the Augusta, GA area, we're going to call that MVP the "Gangrene Jacket" -- it was Mike's idea. Three month long regular season, with regular weekly gaming, and the top 4 teams will enter the postseason.
