1) & 2) I'm glad you approve of my tastes. :3 I also approve of yours.
3) Science and math aren't always for everyone. Oh how I wish it were different, as I believe that a lot of general stupidity in the world could be solved if people just had a better understanding of the way things worked. (This is not meant nor directed at you in any way.) That said, I also think a lot of the problems come from how the material is presented. I seemed to have learned just fine in the generic manner, but a lot of people may need to hear or see it from different angles before it even has a chance of making sense. That's part of the reason why I'm interested in teaching actually, to try to successfully share and transfer a passion for science and math to people who might otherwise fail to pick up on it.
4) I don't know if I adequately described it, so I feel I must point out that there are parts of the game that can be quite disturbing. Murder, rape, insanity, gore, and more. It does not beat around the bush and it does not shy away from sensitive subjects. You will likely be disgusted by some of the things that occur, and probably some of the characters or their motivations. I know I was. Also, I realize I forgot to mention that I've heard the description "Lovecraftian" thrown around in relation to Saya, but again, not being particularly familiar with Lovecraft, cannot confirm or deny. But with those added caveats out of the way... I can probably point you in the right directions if you're still interested. The English patch was still in beta form last I checked, so I'll head over and see if anything's new there (if not it's no big deal as there were only a few minor issues that I noticed and reported), and if you're still interested contact me privately and we'll go over the details.
5) Yeah. You know, it's good to have friends that understand. And you really have nothing to apologize for. It's not necessarily upsetting, I guess. I don't really know how to explain it. Just sort of a twinge, where you're like "Do I really come off as lonely?" "Yeah, I guess it's true..." "I wish it weren't :(", that sort of train of thought-if that makes any sense. I didn't mean to make a big deal out of it (Or did I? sometimes I don't really know), just an honest comment.
And yeah. Sometimes I think I put out signs, just so that maybe other people will see them and save me, but that's really probably a terrible way to go about it, you know? I shouldn't be relying on other people like that, I should be taking charge of and dealing with it myself. So it's kind of a paradox being surprised when people do see the signs you're putting out for them to find. I guess I'm just unnecessarily complicated at times.
---- Also, don't worry about messing up the nesting. I do that too at times. Easy mistake to make.
4. The internet has desensitized me so much that I feel I'd probably be only vaguely disturbed. I mean, it's not real so it's easy for me to just roll with it. And Gen actually found it for me, so we'll probably play through it together at one point. I'll let you know how I like it. :3
5. Man, we're all unnecessarily complicated at times. It's alright. I don't think loneliness is a good or bad trait. It just is. And I hope someone does come along and rescue you.
4) Figured that might be the case, but it never hurts to be careful. Sounds like you're good to go. Gen is no slouch at computers, so I'm sure he'll be able to handle any of the trouble that may come up trying to get a Japanese game running in English Windows, but if something does crop up, just give a holler. Gen found an English version and burned on a CD for me. I'm not done yet, but I already know WHY IT IS SO FUCKED UP. I suspected even before Oumi went to his house.
