Had to take Squall to the 24-hour vet at 1 AM today because he wouldn't (couldn't?) lie down since after his dinner, even if he looked like he was ready to fall asleep on his feet, and my sis didn't know what to make of it. I walk to my room, carrying my freshly microwaved lunch and a mug of green tea, which is the usual for weekends. Squall is there, just outside the door. I try to entice him in with the smell of food but he just stares, unconvinced ( Read more... )

Squall's hind leg is swollen. He's limping, and has a difficult time lying down, and getting back up. My poor baby. :(

I have no idea how he could have gotten the injury. It's the same leg with the mysterious candlewax drips, too. I laugh at our torture hypothesis, but it's getting really strange.

In 2000, my sister's college friend in Los Banos had a dog who gave birth to several puppies. My sister, who had first dibs, chose the biggest one, which was black, because we've never had a black dog in years. She brought the puppy home, via public bus, during a storm, and so called him Squall ( Read more... )

Squall had a temperature and was throwing up yesterday, so he had to visit the vet (another vet, not my sister, because he had to get some tests).
