"Back to prison," I said.

"Be brave," was your reply.

Be brave -- words not undertaken lightly. You, the fool God made wise to confound me, told me to take up the Hero's call; to undertake deeds of bravery, to swear myself to the course of action despite the consequences, despite the pains. To face down my foes, to stand in terror of no man, to upend the world and right again. To be brave. You could not have asked for something easy, could you? Not you, my gallant fool, your kindest words of comfort must spur me to an action undreamed of. My turn, to play the hero of my story, to let nothing stand between me and the Goal, to be as wise and foolish as the raven, as fierce as the boar, as swift as a falling hawk. My turn, to be the shape-shifter and the questing knight.

Be careful, sometimes you get what you asked for.
