Nyoka was preparing.
She gathered up her heavier robe, her heatpack belt, that she wore underneith said robe. A click and it was on.
Nyoka left out the back way of her store. On her world, Guardia, it was fall. Leaves turning colors, falling to the ground. She stuck to the pathway, slithering along silently, perhaps a little nostalgic after the Day of the Dead meeting with her old friend who passed on.
It wasn't really the tradition of her 'pack' of naga to bury their dead, but Nyoka felt that Pyra deserved something more than a cremation. The orange-colored naga was a sister, and at one time, a lover.
The 'monument', which is about the appropriote term, was large. A statue of a naga coiled around a large boulder. The statue's arms were held in the air, high, with a bowl in her palms. She was dressed in a robe similer to, but different in design than the one Nyoka now wears.
Nyoka slithered in close, she ran a hand along the carved scales of the naga's tail, quiet, for once. Almost uncharacteristic of the loud, and normally brash Isii.
Breaking the silence, save for the wind in the trees, she spoke. "Heh. I knew you'd approve of this."
"You always were the one of us that liked the big, grand things. Amazing how I just took it in stride. You showing up in the Nexus, out of that big blimp-thing." Her hand traced some of the markings on the statue's tail. "That you took it in stride so well, too."
Nyoka smiled, a nostalgic one. She shifted, hauling herself up on the higher points, ending up having to coil around the statue a little to get herself up that high.
"And here, my sister-by-our-blood, I shall relight the fire for you." Nyoka flicked her hand, a fire spell summoned. One presumably taught to her by this individual. "Pyra, I missed you so much. Thank you for coming to me. It made me happy." She nuzzled the statue's cheek.
Nyoka started to slither back down. Fire relit. She glanced to the statue one more time. A small smirk crossed her face as she went back to her store in Medina.
Things felt better, now.
