I'm in Ohio now. Had an 8-month stint of unemployment about a year and a half ago, had a crush or two, a semi-but-not-really romantic stint with a crazy Brit, and am now 6 weeks in to something that may lead a bit deeper. It's hard to tell just over the Intarwebz, but you never know. Time will tell.
