Riou was sitting at the desk in his room working on his writing for class. He for the longest time was still getting used to the concept of being this far away from his family. He had never been hundreds of miles away from his relatives for such a long length of time. Though his "buddy" Lore had helped to lessen the pressure in acclimating to the change.

Lore knocked on the door, hoping Riou was there. The younger kids didn't usually wander around the building too much, but it crossed her mind for the first time that he might already be at dinner. She hoped he was doing okay, or she really would feel guilty for neglecting to check in on him as often as she probably should.

Riou opened the door

"Hi Lore," said Riou, "I didn't know you were coming today." "I was just working on a little bit of homework for class" Riou yawned due to being tired from the long day that it had been. " I was just going to go eat when I got it done."

Lore stepped into the room, glancing around. Nothing looked terribly out of place, which was a good sign. His work was out on the table, and she walked over. "How's your classes going?" she asked. "Can I look at your homework?" she gestured to the papers on the table.

"My classes are going good, Math is hard though." Riou handed her his homework. "Here, he had to write our names 5 times, as well as to write each letter 3 times."

"Yeah," Lore agreed. "Math stinks. Majorly stinks." She couldn't help but smile a little at how serious he was. If only she had always been such a serious student. As much as she wanted to be a SeeD, she always had trouble resisting the temptation to goof off. Riou...Riou was almost spookily smart. "You have good writing," she praised. "Good start. Keep practicing." She put the paper back on the desk. She ruffled his blonde hair. "You hungry, kid? Let's go eat."

"Sure, why not." He followed her out of the room, towards the cafeteria.
