Shifting so that she could elbow him lightly in the ribs, Rinoa teased, "Yes, I am going to make you dance again. And you're going to like it."
Bad mood dispelled, she settled against his side once more and glanced up to the sky. The clouds were lazy, fluffy and white, promising good weather and a little bit of shade from the sun. Idly, she wondered if any of the Garden events -- aside from the bonfire -- were going to be held outside.
It would be nice to have musicians playing and to dance under the stars, probably. But that would require a little more prep time. Maybe something for next year.
Bringing her free hand up to tuck a wayward strand of hair behind her ear, she mused, "You'll have fun, you'll see. It's been a long time since all of us have just relaxed together... so it'll be nice to spend time with everyone again, too."
She had missed the constant companionship, the laughter, the heated arguments that came from being good friends with so many diverse personalities. The festival would be a perfect time for them to just enjoy being friends again.
He followed her gaze to the sky, cloud watching with her for a moment. He heard Angelo stir, stretching out in the grass. It was a lazy, easy moment, and he was going to enjoy it while he could. He knew something would ruin his serene mood soon, probably as soon as he walked back inside.
He looked back at her, listening while she talked. He knew what she meant. Though the six of them now had shared something in their battle that bonded them, they were all trying to return to their normal lives, or something that resembled them, now. Normal lives that included more than each other. But what could you expect? It had shifted into being more than just a mission, but they were still 6 very different people trying to reach a common goal. They had to be a group then, and learn to work together. Then, success for anyone was hinged on the others not failing.
But he knew Rinoa would sigh and tell him that he had a terrible attitude or something. So he edited his thoughts. "Now that we aren't kept together every day as a group, everyone's enjoying their free time their own way," he agreed. "We have time to get back to our own lives. But it's good to see everyone together once in awhile."
