Irvine just shrugged, taking another shot at the T-Rex and hitting it in in the stomach. "How can you expect me not to notice?" he defended himself. "I'm only a mere man, after all" he said, a light smirk on his face. "And to answer your question," he said, turning to Zell, "even I need a break once in awhile." He thought about it for a minute, then, chuckling, repeated, "I'm only a man!"

Squall cast blizzaga on the T-Rexaur. "So there's too many women here even for you Irvine?" Squall joked. "I never thought I would hear something like that from you."

Irvine chuckled. "Now, now. I never said there were too many. I just gotta take my time, is all," he replied. He gave one final shot, and the T-Rexaur was down.

Just as Zell was about to land a nice punch in the T-Rexaur's side, he heard a gunshot and the creature fell. He turned to face Irvine and pouted. "Maaan, I wanted to take it down!" he whined, but then shrugged and said, "Oh, well. Nice shot!"

"Sorry, man," Irvine replied with an apologetic shrug. "You can get the next one," he offered. He turned back to Squall. "So like, you gonna hang around for awhile? You want to keep going?"

Squall shook his head. "I think I've had enough for one day" he told them. Here he was, not even paying attention to what he was doing in the first place . If he was going to daydream, he should at least get out of the training center to do it. "Hey, guys.." he began and then hesitated. "Nah, it's nothing." He shook his head.

He began walking out of the training center, then thought better of it. It was possible Squall would never get used to asking for help, but this was for Rinoa. "Guys," he called back to them, "Would you keep an eye on Rinoa for me? Try to keep her company?"

He had seen Rinoa having a hard time making friends at garden. She stood out a little too much, being a sorceress and all. Rinoa was a social person, and he could tell the adjustment was hard for her. Squall was not social, and was at a loss for ways to make it easier for her. She needed people, and it wasn't like he could introduce her to his thousands of friends.

With his hands slipped into the back pockets of his jeans, Zell watched Squall curiously. He didn't understand why Squall could never really just say what he had to say.

"Sure, no problem, Squall!" he replied. Of course it wasn't a problem! Zell liked Rinoa. He thought she was a sweet girl, and a cute match for Squall.

Irvine gave Zell a curious look. Partly because Squall was a curious guy, and partly because he was wondering what the story was. What brought all this on? But to Squall, he just said, "Hey, sure man. We'll take care of her for you."

"Thanks guys," he replied simply. He slung his gunblade over his shoulder and left the center, feeling a little bit better. Maybe Rinoa wouldn't need many friends, if she had a few good ones.
