Lore thought it over for only a moment. "I don't think so. I dunno, being an instructor just doesn't..I dunno. It doesn't seem like me, you know? I want to be out in the field, doing stuff. What about you?" she asked. Truthfully, she had never really even thought about being an instructor.

Zell chuckled. "Naw, being an instructor just ain't for me. Sitting in a classroom, dealing with students... I totally agree with you!" He smiled. "Field work is, well, work, but you're actually doin' something!"

"Ugh," Lore replied. "I didn't even think about the students. Can you imagine putting up with a room full of 13 year olds? All they think about is their hair and getting boyfriends or girlfriends. Who they don't even go on real dates with." She gave a fake, exaggerated shudder. "Shoot me first."

Clutching his stomach, Zell made a sick face, pretending to be nauseous. "Ugh," he groaned. "I hope I wasn't that bad when I was 13." Thanks to the GFs, Zell's memories were quite fuzzy.

When they arrived in the cafeteria, Zell dashed in line, hoping there were still hot dogs left. He bounced on the balls of his feet, hoping to get a view of the front of the line.

Lore went to go find her friends, keeping an eye on the line to wave Zell over when he was done. Lore hated standing in line and usually waited for the perfect opening.

"Hey Lore," Dante greeted her when Lore approached the table.He glanced at his watch then went back to pushing some frys around on his plate. "How's your studying going?"

Addy looked up at Lore as she came over, waiting for her reply. She knew that her roommate had been working hard for her upcoming test, and that she was worried.

Finally! It was Zell's turn! And the verdict was -- SOLD OUT. AUGH! Zell seriously needed to get a watch or something so he wouldn't stay so darn long in the Training Center all the time. Looks like he'd be having the chicken tenders for lunch today. Zell thought chicken tasted pretty good, but it always gave him bad memories...

Holding his lunch, Zell stood on his tippy-toes, looking for his new friend. "Grrr, why do I have to be so short?!" he grumbled to himself.

"I'm not late," Lore insisted, catching Dante's look to his watch. "And I went to the training center today." She waved to Zell, who she had been watching leave the line.

"You went to the training center?" he asked. "Alone? You know you aren't supposed to go without someone," he told her, following her look. He couldnt tell who she was waving at.

Addy focused on her salad. She knew Dante was right, but she also knew that she wasn't about to tell that to Lore.

When Zell saw Lore wave him over, he grinned and briskly walked towards the table, trying not to spill his food or knock anybody over, but he did almost run into one person. He put his food down on the table and greeted everyone with a big grin and a wave and exclaimed, "Hey!"

Lore couldn't help but grin in response to Zell's enthusiasm. She sat down next to Addy, turning the chair backwards. "Everyone, this is Zell. We met at the training center. So, Dante," she said pointedly, "I was with someone....er, most of the time," she added. "This is Dante and Addy," she said to Zell.

Dante just shook his head at Lore. "Hi, Zell," he said. "At least someone was watching her."

"Hi," Addy said in her usual quiet voice. She wished for probably the hundredth time that Dante would just admit that....well, that Lore was Lore.

"Nice to meet everyone!" Zell cheerily replied. It was always fun meeting new people. Zell just hoped that these weren't the type who always felt they had to treat him special. People like that made him feel kind of uneasy.
