so there are two things to update on. firstly, my dog is a cone-head. yes, that's right. she's wearing one of those fabulous satellite dishes around her face and it's making her look like an inverted floor lamp. a few days after her spaying surgery, i noticed that her stitches did not appear any better. i took her to the vets and they said that she'd been licking at them - most likely at night when the family's all sleeping and the dog is free to iritate her stitches without anyone yelling at her. that said, she was fitted for an e-collar (read: clear plastic lampshade) and she's been absolutely adorable ever since. granted, she was adorable before, but she's even more delightful now. at first she was really cautious when she got home (read: kept bumping into stuff), but now (3 days later) she's finally herself again. she's playing catch with me (read: i shoot for the hoop), and it's hilarious to watch her chase her tail with this thing around her face. in short, my dog looks funny, her stitches are recovering, and she'll be cone-less in about a week.

ellisdsme already knows, sean and i got engaged.  hilarious since i think my last post was me ranting about what a stubborn ox he is.  sorry to give the news over lj, but i don't have anyone's phone numbers.  i have your old old phone numbers (think 2003), but i don't have anyone's updated info.  with the exception of
ellisdsme of course, who i could have called but called me instead and thoroughly freaked me out.  (there's a good story behind that one.)  his family is happy, my family is happy, he is happy, and i am happy.  i haven't thought too much about it, and i don't quite know when i'm gonna start.  heh, but it's exciting nonetheless.  which reminds me.  i would like your phone numbers people.
