Hmn, it's difficult. I'm a sucker for efficiency and accuracy, so GFs and magical creatures don't sit well with me, only because it would be difficult to stamp someone as a beast within the game that shows no real personality. (I can't imagine what Quezacotl's personality would be like... Electrifying?)

The "Non FFVIII Character Theme" makes me feel a little iffy because the name of this community is "Balamb_Rating," and I would rather this community maintain it's FFVIII exclusivity. (Are we the longest lasting FFVIII stampting community on LJ? That would be cool.) I'm down with having secondary stamping or something of the like, but I'd be sad if this became a general FF stamping community. I'm sure they have those already...

If we're trying to get the word out, then I can offer my Photoshop CS3. We need to make eye-catching banners, post adverts in every place possible, and work through the grapevine until we can find the scattered clans of FFVIII-lovers that I know are still out there. A friend and I are re-creating an old FFVIII forum we used to visit, and our plan is to create a neato, hi-tech forum that can compete with the best of the FFVIII forums. The fans are still out there, we just need to reach them! :3 A new graphic theme for the community may help, too. And if we're the longest (or second-longest) surviving FFVIII comunity on LJ, we should put it in our description. :3 "Est. in XXXX, the longest surviving FFVIII stamping community on LJ!"

Yeah that's my only problem with the GFs...since they don't really have actual personalities :-\ (Well I guess some of them do, like Bahamut and Brothers, but most of them don't).

The character theme would just be a theme...it'd only run for a month or so, so it wouldn't really be re-vamping the community or anything...just reaching out to other worlds, but then coming back. But, I do also kind of want to keep us just as FFVIII. And wow, I didn't realize that! Though, it doesn't surprise me...I took over this place about a year ago or so, but I think I applied for it back in '06, so yeah, it's been here for awhile :) Most of the other comms I applied to when I first started getting into these things have died by now :-\

If you want to make new banners, that would be absolutely fabulous! I am a complete n00b when it comes to photoshop, though I'm hoping now that I own it I'll be able to play around with it a little bit more. So, please don't feel obligated or anything, but if you have extra time and want to make banners or something, I would definitely be *extremely* grateful :)
