Modern US / UK / Australian campuses are occupied by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. This is de-facto true, not sure about how it arranged de jure.
Stylistically there is no difference with the "student demonstrations" of my youth mandated by the Soviet state officials. Angry speeches were as close to violence as was allowed though. There was no private property (Jewish or otherwise capitalist) anywhere to be destroyed.
I guess the KGB/FSB may be only one of the channels sponsoring these hordes of barbarians roaming our academia. There are many other interested parties.
