(no subject)
I had a very productive Monday, but better than that, I remembered I only have to work three days this week. Tomorrow I get a vacation day because I was supposed to get Rachel's senior pictures done. However, the photographer has to attend a funeral so I had to reschedule pictures for Friday. So now I'm off that day too! I have no idea what I'll do all day tomorrow but I'm sure I can come up with something.
This evening Rachel summoned me to her room to help her study for two tests and that took a while. She has senioritis in a bad way but I'm glad she's making the effort to pass her tests! She's always been good at finishing her homework but is terrible at taking tests. She doesn't have the attention span to just sit and read notes and memorize them, but it seems to help if I quiz her on things. And I always end up learning something too! I know more about King Arthur now than I did last week, not that it will really help either of us in life. :)
Now for the best part of the day: My brand new vacuum cleaner was delivered to the front porch by the UPS man. Woot! It's probably the only household chore that I'm borderline obsessive about because I can't stand to see dog hair on the carpet. So I'm now the proud owner of a shiny red Eureka "The Boss" Smartvac. Be jealous! LOL
