Another week has come and gone. This weekend was spent in St. Charles, MO. We had fun but now I'm nothing short of being practically a zombie. Back to back cheerleading competitions are exhausting.
The girls on Rachel's team had a rough first day. Two stunts came down, which has never happened before in competition, and they ended the day in 3rd place for their division. The first day's score only counts for 1/3 of the total score, but we figured even if day 2 went great, they would probably only move up one place. Well, today they nailed it. 3rd place was announced...a team from St. Louis. We were excited. Then 2nd place was announced....it was the team from Arkansas. Then we all started screaming because we knew our girls finally had a 1st place trophy. This is only the 2nd one for the season, the last one being in early November. I was so happy...but I'm sure that Arkansas team was disappointed. The scores had to be pretty close.
Rachel is exhausted and went to bed at 8:30. I should probably be headed there myself. Back to reality tomorrow.
