Doggie drama
I had to work today and even though I only worked two lousy days this week, I was so ready for the weekend.
We had Buddy upstairs with us most of the evening. The dogs are doing much better together but I still have to really watch them. Biscuit has lost her fascination with Buddy and has returned to life as normal. She's the most mellow of the bunch. Bijou isn't being as aggressive but has turned into an obsessed stalker. She won't let Buddy out of her sight. Even if he just lies down to nap, she's right up in his face (or other end) sniffing at him and he eventually gets a little irritated and lets her know. But he really does have the patience of a saint and is pretty cautious around her. At one point in the evening he even found Biscuit's ball and wanted to play so I think he's finally starting to relax a bit around the other dogs. Now I just have to get Bijou to lighten up, but hopefully that will happen in time.
What I can tell is that I have three very different babies on my hands, and I do mean babies. Buddy clearly thinks he's a lap dog and will glady climb in any human's lap. What he doesn't understand is that Bijou believes she owns my lap. And up until now, she really hasn't had any competition because she's clearly always been "mama's dog" (as David would say). We still need to work out that little arrangement because there simply isn't room in my lap for both of them at the same time. My hips are wide, but not quite that wide. ;)
We don't have too many plans for the weekend. We might try to go see the third Pirates movie but that's about it. What's sad is that the last time I went to the movie theater, it was for the second Pirates movie. I'd say it's time for another movie.
