(no subject)
so today pretty much sucked.
first of all i was all mopey and sad cuz i dont getta be with chris today, and the snow made it even worse for some reason. and then we get to band and vian says hes probably not doing marching band next year. htat its not enjoyable for him and he needs a break. he says he thinks hes probably gonna do a blast show. where we would perform on the track, right in front of the stands and stuff. he says there will still be a guard and stuff. i dont think hes thought that through all the way. that would KILL guard. i mean, fall guard, IS MARCHING. i love marching. the blast show would be like even less than winterguard. hes talking about most of our performances being inside and stuff. i really dont think hes really considered how its gonna affect guard. he never paid too much attention to guard during the season. like if karla wasnt there, guard mostly stood around because he was focusing on the band,which IS his job, but im just giving reason to why i think he hasnt considered how guard is gonna be affected. it is especially bad for anybody who wants to continue guard in college, like with OMB. how are we supposed to go march with a band as amazing as OMB after not actually marching for a year? i think this is a really bad idea, it will destroy our guard program which is already very feeble. and it totally messes up my plan of nto doing winterguard but marching fall guard. how i can i march fall guard if we're doing a marching show? ooh, but on the beaucoux bright side, tabby said that Kaite said she is picking new captains next season no matter what, so i very well may get my rightful place. altho that does make me wish i were doing winterguard so that way she would already be in love with me and i wouldnt have to win her over while she was in the process of making the decision. (see how confident (cocky?) i am?) at any rate, i want vian to keep marching band the way it is. even though i did the whole break down thing at camp, i loved it, i had such a good time. i also loved the way we had a special guard camp like a week before the band one, that was one of the best parts of last season. my favorite parts of guard is when it was JUST guard together. i dont care about the band, as long as ive got my guard girls its all good. it was hard for me to realize how much i loved them all during the season cuz of all of the stupid drama, but i adore those girls, i miss them.
