Blerf, I feel a little dizzy this morning...not sure why, although I am congested as usual.

Something in the house started chirping randomly this morning. I was able to filter it out, but Plague wasn't, and he hopped in bed and pressed himself against me, shivering. Poor thing! Fades says that it was the CO2 sensor and that Folf changed the battery.

Last night I was finally able to inflict 'Another Gay Movie' (as well as the non-traumatizing 'But I'm a Cheerleader') on people. :) While that film does dance around the edges of what I can stomach, it is a nicely done satire...it never lingers excessively on trainwreck scenes. It hits you with them and moves on...the pacing is good.

AGM uses quiche as a sexual metaphor the way the film it's spoofing uses apple pie, so I'd suggested to Fadey that he make some, and he did. He'd forgotten about that when he agreed to. |)

One comment about 'Cheerleader' was the action of the 'gay underground railroad,' where they rescued the kids from the reeducation camp...and dropped them off at a gay bar. Would that really be appropriate?...probably not, but we probably aren't supposed to take it literally. The bar is probably supposed to represent 'getting in touch with queer culture,' not 'underage drinking.' It is a sweet movie and I suggest it.

Early sunday was the Connections fair at church, Fadey's big event. I came along and helped a litte before sneaking off for an omlet and then snoozing in the back of his car for a bit. I was moderately helpful, honest! :)

Saturday we got moving pretty late, had lunch and ran some errands, hit a few thrift shops. Andy and Harley called about going to the Pecan festival downtown, but Fadey had stuff to work on so we bowed out and went home. He did his event prep while I worked on installing an L-pad on that tweeter to tame it, which went well. Cashew watched 'Endrhain' while I soldered and drilled. Eventually Fadey went to bed and I watched just one episode of BSG...then just one more...and one more...and then it was past 1am and the season was over. Argh. :J Dumb me!

Friday was Fadey's game, and I also decided to play with the contact lenses. I FINALLY got them in, but GAH, that was a miserable experience. I was weeping tears and by eyes were VERY irritated until I finally gave up and took them out, and THAT was miserable too. Hopefully I just did it wrong, or maybe my fingers weren't clean enough, or something, because if it's this bad every time I won't be using them much! Curiously they also degraded my vision while they were in; you can kind of see the colored part in the periphery of your vision, and even dead ahead was blurred, maybe because my eyes were weeping in overtime.
