(no subject)
Friday night's game was mostly shopping. Asmodeous popped in to offer a deal with the devil, and being the good little holy warrior I punted the question to Melora, who didn't seem to have a negative reaction. Sometimes one is reminded that one's diety is not actually 'good.' :)
I got things together to wrap up the plot with the jackals on saturday, and whoo buy, we ran late. The game took over EIGHT HOURS. I had no clue at the time! It went pretty well, but the PC's stalled a few times and were uncertain what to do next. I had an NPC present (there in case the Cleric didn't show, to provide backup healing) and I used him to interject some questions. Maybe I should have done that earlier, I just don't want to spoon-feed people!
Poor Fadey didn't get to play (he had church stuff to do) but he's pretty sure the puzzle I was presenting wasn't that hard...but the group WAS missing some of the most active button-pushers, and that worked against them. Still, eventually we muddled through, and I'm pretty happy with the way the end played out.
The very last bit was a little trip to the Shadowfell, BTW, and I killed the lights and had the UV bars set up to give the room that special sickly feel. Any chance to work lighting in, you know me. :)
Sunday was more church stuff. I was a little exhausted and snuck off to read and eat pancakes while Fadey attended the service, then I had lunch with him. We went by Lhexas' and he exacted a horrible toll for letting Fades borrow his car while the cantankerous Mazda was worked on. |) I ended up with a bit of a headache (this happens so often on sundays!) so we went home and I watched BSG while Fadey worked on stuff, then joined me later on.
