LJ, what is up with that?
Hey everyone,
It seems to me that LJ has sold its blogosphere soul and made some less-than-loveable decisions. Why is my friends page so incredibly short now? I like to go through and look at all the posts I missed, but now that means going through every single individual friend? I have some who update a line of randomness from their phone, often several times a day, so now the long posts I want to read will be pushed aside in favor of these? This isn't twitter, people. I'm not saying to stop these short posts, I just want to see ALL my friends' posts!
And while going to a post about the changes LJ made, I was instead taken to... an advertisement?? Really? You've gone the way of youtube? Perhaps LJ was not making enough money and felt a change was needed, but I am SURE that there are better ways than this. I would rather have block ads on my friends page or my site than have the screen taken up by a time-sensitive ad.
I am quickly losing my faith in you, LJ. FACEBOOK is becoming a better way to blog with its lack of security. But it is not like I can do anything... or can I?
Does anyone have any info about this that doesn't involve a long ad which doesn't load properly?
