yesterday i noted a whole host of things i wanted to write about.  i started, and only got as far as the first one.

when i broke up with my second long-term partner it was about having the freedom to create ourselves as people that we couldn't be when we were together.  that's one of the reasons why i was so disappointed to run into them this

i've grown up and changed, even though the more i 'grow up' the more i begin to feel connected with some of the things i thought and felt and believed in back then.

I can agree with this 100%. Maybe it's just an excuse, but perhaps some of it is a willingness to accept things again that you thought you had to grow out of, or that weren't cool or any other number of external reasons, which when you were young you liked out of a pure adolescent innocence. So in a way, growing up to be able to allow yourself to be young again. That just tumbled out of my brain, though, maybe it doesn't make any sense.
