Hello and Happy New Year and a few things...
1. My copy of the Phillies World Series arrived today, and it's pretty rad.
2. I also ordered the reissue of my favorite Pavement record, "Brighten the Corners". It's a super duper deluxe edition and Matador has done a great job of compiling these so far. ( well, so far is 4 of 5 so it's almost done) I have very mixed feelings about these reissues because I spent hundreds of dollars and hours of searching for these very obscure B- sides and bootlegs and British radio sessions that Pavement did, and that money does not come easy when you're a teenager. ( yes, I know it's hard to believe but teenage Travis was a HUUUGE loser).
It's all good though...Matador knows that all us losers will buy the re-issue for the packaging.
3. The new Animal Collective is amazing. There's a song called "My Girls" and it will forever be remembered as the soundtrack to the first two days of 2009. It's a great song, but I'm joking...
