I'm planning to try my hand at some almond-based gluten-free brownies for a friend. I've seen really inexpensive almond meal at Trader Joe's, but it's made from un-blanched almonds. I've seen blanched stuff but it's about 3x as expensive.
Will that work in brownies or will the texture seem too course? (I'd grind my own but I don't have a food processor or food mill.)
