You know, I was a pretty damn big a capella fan at Drew too. To recap: I married a Mad Aver and had Mad Ave sing at our wedding reception's cocktail hour featuring Jared Eberlein's heretofore unmatched award-winning performance of I'll Be as our first dance. Just sayin'.

Anyways, had to pipe, I totally agree with your thoughts on Sing Off. I love that Shawn and Ben are judges. Tuesday night I felt like they had some more real critique.

God, I miss a capella concerts.

I was actually thinking of you when I wrote this post. I was like, "Yeaaaaah, but Delia wins."

Hahaha. I don't know if I win, but I'm definitely at least equally nerdy ;)

CRAP, WE'VE MISSED SING-OFF! I am crushed by my poor attention to television scheduling, and Chris is going to be sad too. Thanks for the update, though!

You are SO right about Freedom 90. All of the Above's version was so much better. Ugh!

I have had to miss two episodes due to SYTYCD, because I have my priorities. (Meaning, I saw the ep on Monday and knew it was going to be more painful than I cared to deal with.)

However, I maintain that the Pussycat Doll *ptooie* needs to be beaten soundly. "Omigod, who knew you could rock out with just yer voice?" YOU ARE A "VOCALIST", DIPSHIT. I was mad about it to begin with and then I found out who she was and collapsed into a pile of flail.

And yes, the judges who know what they are doing need to stop pitching softballs, for real...and I agree with the query where the fuck did they find these groups, because they are nowhere near top-of-the-line.

(I lettered in Vocal Performance in high school and toyed very briefly with the plan of a VP minor before I was exposed to Real Vocalists and realized my talents lay elsewhere.)

Like, say, in your phenomenal hips!

I had to miss on Tuesday but caught up with it and just - oh boy, a lot of these groups are not that great. AND they tried to make a "story" out of the girl who fights acid reflux disease, which was totally lame. Sure Lucy might have a couple of tough rehearsals, but when it comes down to it she is going to slap a smile on her face and sing some fucking a capella.
