Fresh Cherry Crumb Bars

This recipe can really be described in just a few words: fresh, sweet cherries, buttery crumb cake, and a hint of almond. It’s sort of a multi-occasion treat - served best warm, or cold, or for breakfast, or for a mid-day snack, or even for dessert… and probably amazing with fresh whipped cream, although I didn’t think to make any before we cleaned

This looks fabulous! Do you think the recipe would work with blueberries?

Thank you! Hmm.. good question. Aside from the orange juice, the cherries themselves add a lot of liquid. If it were me, I would try it - but I'd mash up some of the blueberries a bit first to release some extra liquid. (Or maybe add a little bit more juice?) I've been making the original recipe in half-sized batches - so you could always try it with the blueberries and make a smaller batch first. :)
