Shipping Cupcakes

I moved aout a year ago and a good friend of mine is not doing so well. She loved the cupcakes that were served at my wedding- which happened to be my favorite recipe. I would love to ship some to her and her husband, to help her get a little cheer ( Read more... )

I've never tried shipping them this way, but what about plastic cups? I've used them for transporting via car before.

You could ship them in a disposable muffin tin wrapped in plastic with the frosting on the side.

I ship cupcakes and cakes all the time. With cupcakes I pack the cakes in a tupperware type box and fill in around the cupcakes with foam peanuts or shredded paper. I put the icing in a separate container with a disposable bag, icing tip, and instructions how to decorate.

Yes, my suggestion was going to be to ship with frosting separate. That eliminates most of your problems right there.

This may go without saying but I would also send them some reasonably quick way - second day shipping at least.
