Bun Pan?

Dec 26, 2011 15:18

Background info: I'm an American married to a Brit and living in the UK, so a lot of my baking experience is US-based and sometimes baking/cooking terms in the UK puzzle me.

For Christmas, I received a bun pan. It looks too shallow to do cupcakes in, so what do I actually do with it? My husband very helpfully told me "make buns".

Er??

Help, please.

*Edited to add* I was asked to find a picture, so I found this one on Asda's website:

Also, it apparently is called a "bun tray" not pan, but that's probably a US/UK translation thing or even a regional thing to me to call it a pan (like I'd call the thing you make cupcakes or muffins in a "muffin pan").

*Edited to add* HAH! it's for fairy cakes!!! :D
