Tempting...very tempting.
There's a French bakery here that makes lovely chocolate croissants except that they're stingy with the chocolate batons. I might have to finally try this...

I tell ya, I have trouble getting enough chocolate in there myself! I finally realized it's because pre-proofing, they're so much smaller than they will be after baking. MUST figure out how to stuff them more :)

You should give it a try! They're SO rewarding!

Thanks :)

I haven't had the courage (or the time or kitchen space, frankly, not with post-divorce move) but I have SO enjoyed reading the posts about the croissants and thrilling to others' successes with it. This is a *wonderful) tutorial; I am adding it to my memories.

Truth be told, yours is one of my two absolute favorite food blogs. You and Pioneer Woman, who has the life I wanted to have. Gods, that sounds pathetic. I'm really not that sad at all. *snort*

You have my vote!

Aww, thank you SO much!! What a compliment :) Hope you get to try these sometime -- I know kitchen space can be a huge issue when you're rolling things out and such.

I think we all fantasize about having at least SOME facets of Ree Drummond's life . . . ;)

I'd settle for being half the writer she is!

But someday I want to get back into a place with enough kitchen that I can once more cook and bake as I love to do. In the meantime though, I'm getting by pretty durned well. I do, however, wish I could find my other box of missing kitchen stuff; I only have one saucepan!
