help please?

so, my boyfriend has been away for a while.  when he gets home i'm planning on throwing a party for him and a few of his friends.  i've planned a surprise halo party (like the game).  he and his friends are big into gaming and i thought that it would be perfect.

i know, right? he's been playing that a lot and i figured if i could throw a party for him with the overall purpose being playing his favorite game, it's a win-win. i just have no idea what to make. :(

or just any gaming food in general, i'd skip trying to theme it (my friends just destroy food regardless of how themed or nice it looks) like chips, pop, taco dips, veggies, pizza (maybe put the pepperoni on to mimic the halo logo, same goes for icing the cupcakes)

cheap easy stuff is for sure the way to go :)

A friend of mine recently baked her Gamer BF a square cake with an Xbox-Cake controller on top of it using lollies and licorice for the buttons etc, it looked awesome, sorry I dont have a pic to show though..
