how does the brownie taste like with dark muscovado sugar? is it better tasting than the usual brown sugar? :)

I think the extra molasses make it more fudgey and chewy. And in my world, that's definitely better! :P

I thought muscovado sugars didn't actually have molasses in them?

Really? I read somewhere that they do. They're unrefined brown sugar, and unlike other brown sugars which have molasses literally added to them, muscovado sugars takes the molasses flavor from sugarcane juice. Hmmm, but then again, it could just be the rich molasses flavour from the unprocessed sugarcane, and not molasses per se.

yeah that's what i had thought, that they only taste like molasses.

Ah, maybe that's it! But strangely enough, I find that the molasses flavour coming from dark muscovado sugar is richer than molasses-added brown sugar. Ah, all this talk is making me hungry -_-'
