Anime Expo
This post is way overdue, and should have been posted about a week after the con!
The first part of my trip over to Cali was spent in San Jose, to see Val & meet all her friends and family. I had so much fun going to new places, eating dinner together and karaoke together! (I'll never think of Beyonce's Halo the same way ever hahaha) I feel like we ate so much too, but turns out I weighed myself this morning and I actually lost 10 pounds haha. While with Val we also go to visit the BABY store in San Fransisco where I finally got to meet princesaru . I wish we could have chilled a little more --- come and visit New York damnit!
As for the second part, the convention: was kinda whackkkk! Why was the "biggest convention in the US" lame you ask? Well, the panels that I always go to in conventions were not available what so ever. WHERE WAS THE YAOI PANELS!? WHERE ARE THE LOLITA/FASHION SHOW PANELS? All I know is that Otakon is by far, way better. Maybe just the stores in the dealers room were slightly better at Expo, but I think that's all they have going on for them. The only thing that made it worth it was that I FINALLY got to meet all the girls & boys on the west coast that are into boystyle/lolita and you guys are awesome (smileysquid mamoru_kun09 sberri ♥♥♥)!!! It was great to finally physically being able to talk and meet each other! I wish we could have spent some time getting dinner and getting to know each other a little better. I'm sure there will be another even where we'll meet!
