Is it possible I should have listened to mother and father when they told me that the internet was a bad place to sell your soul to?

Everything is so weird here all of a sudden.
I want to protect my friends, but I fear there is no way to help them at all. What shall I do? I've asked mother to let me keep them all in my room where they're safe from the outside world.
Safe from things like air pollution. Violence. Murder. Rape.
Oh god. Someone please help me. This isn't the way I want to spend my life. I want my friends back! I will fight for them.
