As i leave you lying there,
i am reminded of hearing voices of elders
cautioning us to restore the love & respect we once had
for one another.
as you lie there laying, in the open room
i imagine a world where this scene has a different view
and your pain stained face has once more an approving smile
as i leave, you lie there, im remembering how
you warned us Kids of these world's tragedies
and how love and acceptance
could change the direction of the rain
Living in this world, walking in your own clothes,
teaching us how to call you by your own name
and not by the sticky labels this world had stuck to you.
As i leave you there, earths waters are
crying out , angered with knowing
how you raged in all your motherly ways
to save the life of that Child, while those Children
let your blood pour on the streets
but then you say to me "Chile' sadness is only for this moment".
and the Sun will dry this rain
and comfort for you now Lies in my Healers hands
i look around past my tears,
to see you dressed
in drag mothers clothes.
Hair placed in angelic curls and painted finger nails pristine.
cleaned up all the spilled blood, and washed you away in white satin.
A Golden plaque to see theyve written Your name!.
and pictures that mark passing as both of your lives merge.
The book is signed, it fills a second and a third!.
& Tim and Fatima... become One spirit.
As i leave you lying there, with hurt in my eyes
A Smile of peace sleeps in your Soul
knowing that i walked away..
and I heard All!...
All you had to say!...
The rain stops!
& suddenly what I read in the newspaper
doesnt seemed to matter
