A Busy, Busy Month Ahead

Oct 30, 2009 21:47

November may turn out to be my busiest month this year. Some of the things that I'll be doing:
1. Writing a "novel" starting November 1st (more likely November 2nd really) and ending November 30th. I'll email anyone a copy if they want to read the finished product.
2. Continue inventorying all my junk and putting up on eBay, Amazon, Craigslist and Kijiji, believe me there is a lot of it to sell
3. Get back to tutoring twice a week adults who are trying to get there GEDs, I've slacked off hugely the last two weeks
4. Look for a job both in Portland and Charlotte, though I can hope Congress extends unemployment so I can continue accepting dirty, undeserved is more accurate, money
5. Listen to Murphy my Turkish trainer tell me to quit biking to the gym, about a 14 mile round trip, three days a week because I'm losing muscle. Well I don't have a choice since I don't have a car and the bus doesn't go that far.
6. Knowing I would get buyers remorse, I started taking Krav Maga classes and the monthly fee lets me take any classes they have I may take Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai. Chicks want boyfriends with great skills and I won't be learning nunchaku or computing hacking skills so I'm sol. All three would be six days a week while Krav Maga is three days a week. I have yet to go to three in a week but softball ends Tuesday so that frees an evening.
7. Start planning how exactly I'm getting to Oregon. I want to do a big road trip but that may not be feasible.
8. Slightly less important than number 7 is looking for a place to live. I already have an Oregon phone number thanks to Google Voice so that's nice.
9. Keep up with this blog and my other one assuming there's anything interesting enough to update it with but we'll see how my planning goes, I am certainly not known for my planning skills. I tend to wing it.
10. Cook for Thanksgiving. I still owe my friend's parents a pie from last year so I'm baking them one for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
11. This one is for any of the miscellaneous things I've forgotten, probably my dad finding something he wants me to do.

It may be a rough start to the month with Halloween being Saturday. I can't wait to see what my costume looks like. I'm guessing it'll go one of two ways and not necessarily the way I want but fuck it, it's Halloween, my favorite holiday of the year.
