I like the way you've caught that strange way that strong weather catches your attention, until you can't think about anything else - especially this bit: while she was sure he was unaware of it, she could hear the wind rattling the building as it scurried past. A slight noise here, a slight tremor there, and he wondered why she always had a strange expression when she was in his office.
