I should start moving my fic over to AO3.
Dare I feel brave enough to go through that tag? (and the stuff on DeviantArt. Not much, but there.)
(Though I'm just consistently proud of my 52 Days of Disaster event, and even more so of the two due South Seekrit Santas I've done, especially considering the second was done during 52 Days of Disaster).
I'll probably get around to it. Either eventually, or tomorrow...
Edit: Okay, 52 Days of disaster is the second-most used tag on this LJ, so I'll take a quick minute to explain it to any latecomers:
It was a challenge to myself, to write, or clean up and post, 52 fic of varying length, over the course of 52 days.
52 days during which time I was also:
Starting to write a full on novel, which hasn't been finished yet but I do have a whole outline, which is more than I could say for the
Life on Mars fic which is huge and sprawling and I really need to work more on it and rewatch the series to get the voices right, which I also had to do so I could get things right for the
due South Seekrit Santa fic, which had to be in extra early, because I was also
Moving from Canada to New Zealand. Sort, Inventorise, Pack, etc, while
Going to work, which sucked because
I had just given up coffee which meant I had to get in extra Zzz before I also went off after Work+Class to
Be a bartender for one of the American Defense Attaches in Ottawa, which technically helped with
My placement class for my Bartending Course for which I was also
Transcribing four historical bartending books from JPEG to Word (again for Placement), because I wasn't allowed to do full on placement (because Diplomatic Visas and attached Work Permits) [for other notes, I know way too much about late 1800s/early 1900s cocktails] and
Writing a HUGE essay on Ouzo for drinking class (Oenology, you were wondering) and
An accompanying Powerpoint Presentation on the subject which included
Inventing four different drinks to involve Ouzo while
Getting in a few hours of Speed Mix practice time for Mixology (drinking class more rarely) and
Practicing my routine for Flair (bottle tossing) while running about the place trying to
See friends in Canadaland for the last time.
Yes, in retrospect, I'm not sure how the hell I managed to do that.
Hence, the name being 52 Days of Disaster. Because what better way to do all that, than to write fic.
