I love my job.
I bought my sister an eReader. It broke. Good thing she didn't know about it. I've replaced it with a Kobo Touch. It's made of crap. I'm NOT PLEASED. But secretly relieved that I insisted on the Sony PRS650 when buying my own eReader, as there have been precisely 2 problems with mine and none since the first 2 days. It could be all Kobo Touches, or just this one. But while some parts of it are very slick, its habit of wiping its memory if you accidentally press the home button to wake it up after having it plugged into the computer is annoying. And that's what people who have access to iPads do.
I have a new tea-thermos! Its name is Joe. I didn't name it, that's the name that it came with. It also came with a carrying bag.
My current pony-count for My Little Ponies which I have gotten from McDonalds is 2: I thus far have Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle. I aim to get them all. Perhaps not Lily Blossom (as she is not one of the Mane Six), but if the opportunity arises, I'll not say no (I have suspicions she'll show up in the next series. Already looking forward to the Derp In The Life episode about Derpy Hooves [or is that Derpy Whooves now, given as she was seen together with Doctor Whooves in the thinly-disguised Valentine's Day episode]).
If somebody would explain to me how I managed to get a bruise on the back of my left hand without noticing, I'd be really grateful. But I'd be more grateful if it would just stop hurting.
Apparently, even though NZ post offers Sea-Post to Australia (or at least it did the last time I sent anything from NZ to Aus), Aus hasn't offered the same for several years. Which makes attempting to send something which requires a really small battery into a pain in the arse, as they seem to get snarky about this at the post office. Which confuses me, because 1) There were NO signs anywhere about batteries, let alone button batteries, 2) I'm used to sending things with batteries through the post, just not through the air, 3) if the batteries really do explode in aeroplanes all the time, then how do companies keep sending me things with batteries, and why are people allowed to wear watches on planes ever?
